OK, it's partly you guys here who are responsible for this, you guys convinced me to pull the trigger. Meet my new main guitar, 2007 JP6 Blue Dawn, my new pride & joy:

http://www.ernieball.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=8971&stc=1&d=1282241881

Pictured here with my beloved JP50, modified with CL/LF pups. I can give anyone an all review on the difference between the two. Also on the floor is my new Pedal Train pedal board that I'm really happy with, awesome and neat with the flight case.
Right now I'm totally psyched with the JP6. I'm not sure about the D-Sonic/Custom pups, have work with it a little more. I thinking of replacing them, but not with CL/LF since I already got them on my JP50. Looking for something that'll do agressive Lukather/VH type tones, but has good cleans for jazz as well. Been considering D-Activators, any thoughts?
BTW just recorded an improv over a Larry Carlton backing track using my JP50 w/ the CL/LF. Stucked in some TAD 6L6s with the E34Ls combined in my Randall RM100. Got some real tasty gain resulted from this set up. If anyone is interested, you can check it out from my Myspace site below on the first track.

Grats Tung! Glad you finally pulled the trigger. And I gotta +1 PT boards. Super rugged, super simple no nonsense goodness.

Hey, I remembered you promised to hit a Pho joint if i buy this piece. Looks like you're eating pho for supper, buddy :D

Got it, gonna eat an extra bowl of Bun with my Pho Tai Nam to seal the deal.

ALso PLEASE keep us updated on what PUP choice you decide to install on your new beauty.

After I get my single coil axe, I'm definitely going to get a JP again, and I wanna know what tones you can stretch from it. I love the BFR JP, but I absolutely adore the basswood tones.

I suggest keeping the neck pickup in there, but if you're not feeling the D Sonic, to switch it. I'm happy with the one in my JP7, but it must be the orientation of the blade.

I don't know much about other Dimarzios, because I'm currently considering Bareknuckles, but I'm sure if you look on the Dimarzio website you'll certainly find something that suits you. Hey, even give them a call or an email, and they'll help out with the sound you want.

I'm trying to work with this pups configuration. Going to see my tech Monday to get it set up the way I want. The D-Sonic actually sounds better if the blade is switch to face the bridge, to my ears it sounds hotter in a good way.
Which Bare Knuckles are you checking out? Heard good things about them but the problem is the only set I ever heard, I was not impressed. I'm sure there's a great set there for me, but it's hard to judge when you never actually get to play them yourself.

This is a question for all you guys who are hardcore here: How many of these JP6 2007 LE were made? I know some of you here have the stats.

Wow. I didn't realize how much smaller the JP50 is. ;)

LOL, the JP50 is actually bigger! the body is thicker and even though both necks are 15" radius, the JP50' neck is a bit more thicker as well.

Nice score. I have one of the '07 LE's as well, and it's really sweet.
Congrats!

I'm looking at the Coldsweat in the bridge. Misha from Periphery uses it and it's the type of sound I'm looking for.
