I found this amazing guitar online. It's a 2009 BFR Luke in Cabernet Pearl with a full rosewood neck. Yesterday I decided to pick it up! :D

I love the rosewood neck. Sounds completely different compared to my other Luke!

Need a Morse or three... but other than that looks great! :)

By the way - have you looked into the history of this particular guitar? Usually if it has a "Custom Made" neckplate it was made for an artist. Might be a good story there?

Very nice, that was a great color, too bad it was discontinued so quickly, that run of rosewood neck guitars was great. Congrats on a nice score:)

And so the rosewood neck is different.... but how? How would you characterize the difference in sound?

Congrats Rampage - That's my favorite in your collection because of the rosewood neck and the BFR badge. Oh, and I like the ebmm pearl finishes, so because of the color, too.

To my ear the rosewood necks take away a little brightness. They mellow out the pickups somewhat. I usually dial in a little more treble on the tone knob of the guitar to get myself back to where I like to be.

They feel incredible.

Bryan is right. My BFR all rosewood neck super sport sounds way more "beefy" on the low end. That Luke is incredible looking. Congrats.
