(I wanted to title my thread Btw before starting, I think there should be an NGD prefix. Probably more common than the other options available.

Nice to meet you. I am new here, I am new to EBMM guitars.

I got myself a 1993 silhouette with Floyd Rose. Here are a few pics.

Awesome score! I LOVE Silo's with Floyd. A pretty auspicious entry to the Forum, sir! Welcome to the madness!

Thanks for the warm welcome!

Actually it plays like a dream. The neck is fantastic as expected. The condition of the guitar is unbelievable for its age. It even includes the original papers that came with it, with inspection info etc.

The sound though is something else. Best superstrat I have ever heard. The guitar resonates unplugged like no other guitar I had (and I've had plenty) and that comes through the amp as well.

I used to own an OLP silo and always wanted an real one, so now was the time I guess.

Any other Floyd Silo owners here that care to post a pic? Why did they stop producing the FR variant?

After an ownership of two full years, I'll say the following. I haven't touched my LES PAUL ever since. I blocked the Floyd rose and I swapped the 300K pots for 500K.

I am contemplating a pickup swap as well but I am not really sure if it is necessary. I only yearn for a beefier bridge tone having been spoiled by my meaty LP neck tone. But I suspect that such a neck pickup swap would probably require a bridge pickup swap too. Also some decorative changes such as pick guard and pickup covers would also be nice.

almost 3 years now. Still haven't been playing my Les Paul. That was it. EBMM are simply too good.

That right there is my dream guitar. Model, color, Floyd, everything. Even the aging looks amazing. Jealous!

I am thinking of selling it for a Sabre sometime in the near future. Can't really justify owning both. Problem is that I have to to this kind of blindly, because I need to sell this one first. Somehow I feel I might end up sorry, but I am always up for new adventures. And I think I will stick to EBMM for good.

EBMM customer support told me that the pickups are Custom wound dimarzios on my guitar rather than PAF pros. The Allen screws on the pole pieces indicate otherwise though. I dunno. Any ideas?

The guitar is going up for sale. I will be posting in the for sale section soon.
