This one just got in! what a guitar! and as a nice extra, it's signed by Albert Lee.
No time to talk now, gonna get back to playing this baby!

Love that finish/color! Nice neck too....
Welcome to the club!
Personally, I think all HH's should include the coil split feature...

Glad you like it my new friend!!! I wish you a long and happy relationship with it!

I had to remove this one from my signature!!!!

well, after some "alone time" with this baby, I must say i'll be getting rid of some none-ebmm guitars. :)
what a great player this is! the rosewood neck feels amazing, tuning stability is like I have never seen on a trem that's set up floating.
position 2 is my favorite, the front and rear coils together just sound so amazing for clean stuff like surf and blues.
but every single position of the 5-way switch is very useable, only the bridge humbucker sounds a litl shrill to me, I tend to roll of the tone on that one. the coil split is very usefull on this one, they should make that a standard....

You're having the exact same experience I had! Even though the guitar is darker sounding than other EBMMs I've had, the bridge pickup can be a bright, and the tone control is very usable.

I replaced mine with a Bareknuckle Rebel Yell and, while not any less bright, it's added beef to the bass and mids and so has improved the balance. Still works great with the neck pickup.

Agreed on the split positions: they are what makes this guitar VERY polyvalent.

I sold him this guitar only because I have an AL HH PDN 2012 which is a bit "more special" and an AL SSS PDN 2014. These two are wonderfully complementary. My Luke III is more for the "modern" stuff.

BUT if I had to own only ONE guitar. The Albert Lee HH with the split would be the one. Without hesitating. For a second.

After getting my hands on my beautiful AL I agree 100%. Now I have to find an nice AL HH with a maple neck/board with the split coil. Certainly don't really need another one but that spec would be a nice addition as I've always had a thing for maple boards.

That is a beautiful neck on that one!

What is that colour? The neck+body colour combination is awesome!

Congrats!

Hello

The color of my AL is "classic candy" :

And really, I do not see any difference with the candy red color  (my picture is a crappy smartphone picture. In reality, the color is really what I see on sanderhermans pictures).

It could be nice to have on the same photo, a candy red and a classic candy. Does somebody have 2 guitars in these colors ???

So … my red-sparkle, tortie-guard, rw-neck AL HH has a push-pull on the tone pot. Does that mean it must be a GC ltd ed ? Do I have that right? (btw it’s a dark red like fbecir not red-orange like sanderhermans).

Welcome!!!

The GC specials usually have the chrome tele style knobs. But I agree with Keith, no pic, no exist.

Have you checked the serial number out? If not, do that here: Serial Number Search
