It's a really big gear day for me, heck even as I type this I'm waiting on Fedex to drop off a Strymon DIG lol. I've been a huge fan of EBMM JP guitars for a while now and I've always wanted one with a rosewood neck. My favorite by far has been the XI model so last Sunday I started hunting. Nothing on the used market that I could find but I noticed that Musicians Friend had one. Called them up and after some time getting them to "find me coupons" lol we agreed on a price. She came in today and after a quick retune the guitar is ready to rock!
I also started looking for those original JP pickups they used to put in the early EBMM JP6/7. Some of my favorite tones ever were recorded with that set so of course this new XI will be getting those installed very soon. Got a great deal on them and while they are beat up a bit I'm gonna try to get some new paint on the bobbins and grab some replacement black pole pieces from Dimarzio. Even after all this gear I'm still debating if I should try the Alpha Omega pickup set :lol: anyway ... HNGD to me !
