I managed to get the AL I was hunting for around the city. I finally have a pair of balls.

Anyhow, I noticed as I started playing it that the trem arm has a bit of give before it actually starts doing its thing. I swapped out the arm from my Luke to see if it was better - and it didn't make a difference.

Is there anything I can do here?

I think it's pretty much every bridge I've used with a screw in arm, at least unless it's so tight that you can't turn it either way without considerable effort. I've got the same issue on my Floyded Y2D.

actually I don't understand the question :)

are you saying that when you have to push down the arm nothing is happening before a while? or that the trem is not rotating freely around its axis?

He means that that the arm can move a little bit before the bridge moves. As Agileguy said, what you would expect on a screw-in trem like a vintage strat (except that this is not a screw-in).
