So I have been hunting for an Axis SS with piezo in black cherry burst with a matching headstock and maple neck, and I finally found what I was looking for at a decent price.

The great news is that despite being 3 years old, this guitar had never been played, and by never, I mean not a single sign of use anywhere on the instrument.

The bad news is the former owner let the guitar sit in its case untouched for 3 years in a very dry climate, which caused about 0.5mm of fret sprout on each side of the neck.

With some guidance from the great folks at EB customer service (and the right tools), I was able to take care of those frets and the neck feels and plays fabulously. Thanks to everyone in SLO for making such a great guitar.

I noticed that too. I figured it was a 3d sort of trick of the light

I want a red Axis soooo bad I can taste it. That's a killer one there

That one's on my hit list, too. If it had a rosewood fingerboard, I'd be very jealous.

Ah, who am I kidding? I'm very jealous anyway. :D
