the wait is over....today i got the chance to choose one of two really nice Y2Ds.
both with trem, both with maple fretboard, both sounded different, both looked different.
the first one got an awesome flame neck and it was very dark roasted - looks unbelivable, but the top was not my 1st choise. i'm more a quilttop guy so i decided to go with this one......

i'll post a few more pictures tomorrow with the plastic removed and i try to catch some daylight for the pictures.

what can i say about this beauty.....took it to the rehearsel this evening and it kicks a$$!!!
sorry, i can't find the right words to explain how good this guitar is.
it's the perfect match to my 2012 PDN....next week it's gig-time and this will be on stage with me!

btw. this was the other one....as i said the next is awesome on this!

Joe very nice, the Morse looks cool with the roasted maple neck. It might look pretty good with the purple Y2D bobbin's too, just my opinion.

Happy new guitar day Joe. What a beauty. Still waiting for mine but I've been told its on its way.
It would be awesome if you could do a little write-up of the tonal qualities of each Y2D you have.
You have the definitive collection for sure.

That is an excellent addition to the family, Joe. I think you made the right choice out of the two. Wow, that is so cool that you could take your pick.

Wow Joe, congrats! But if I were you i had asked for some alone time with those two to make up your mind. And then switch the necks..

I really like flamed necks.

thanks guys.

jzeijen: i was thinking about that as well, but there was a story why i had the chance and i didn't want to produce extra trouble in the end.
i'm happy now how it is and that's fine.
to me the look of the top is more important as the neck. :)

Ah, there's always a story of course :D But seriously: killer Y2D once more for you!

I'm still waiting on my standard Morse to arrive. Also has a story, because at first I ordered an AL SSS. They let me change the order without cost while the AL order could not be canceled anymore. Thought that was real customer friendly! I only hope the AL won't be in sight when I pick up the Morse, because I could be very tempted to take that home also..
