I just received my pink Axis Tribute from GC. It's supposed to be new, but the barcodes were removed from the back, and were in the case, faded, without any stickiness. The tags were a bit tattered, and there were a couple of light long scratches on the top surface. I can try to take a picture, but "scratches" may be an exaggeration. Still it doesn't really look "new." Then, there's the case. Says Ball Family Reserve, but is it?
It doesn't have the inlay on the neck that I see other BFR guitars having. Also, what would make this one special? The BFR emblem on the case also has a dent. Could they have given me a different case? Maybe this is a used guitar they've sold as new because it had all the accessories / case candy sealed? No scratches or marks on the back. But the bridge is pretty dusty.
What do you guys think is going on?
