It's taken me over an hour to type this because I just cannot put down my new Buttercream 2005 LE Silhouette Special. :D

THE TONE! Wow! I really can't say if my hands are having more fun than my eyes but my ears are having the most fun!

With all the most special thanks to the Slav123 for deciding this guitar needed a new home. He is a most stand up of stand up guys and a pleasure to deal with.

Thanks also to my French knucklehead crew their words of wisdom on shipping and customs, and to browndog for the many "is it Thursday yet?"s.

Edit: Pictures added to page 2 of this thread, HERE!

I forgot just how difficult that colour is to photograph. Most of what you'll see posted already on the forums looks close to white or vintage white. The reality is it's darker and with an obvious yellow tint. It really is very close to the colour of butter!

Thats great Kev. Right on time too.

It will be nice to see some better pics than the ones we’ve seen on Slav’s hideous sofa.

Oui François, trés bonne idée! Once I get the St. Patrick's week gigs out the way I'll have a little time! Yes, Luc, after a long time of wanting and waiting and life getting in the way of plans, I finally have my first ball.

Our wonderful Aziah reliably informs me that the guitar left the factory on June 23, 2005 and was shipped to Shelbyville Record Shop. Oddly enough, June 23, is the anniversary of the battle of Springfield (1780). Fans of the Simpsons will note the coincidence...!

Here are some shots. The lighting was difficult but I tried to catch the full buttercream colour. Particularly close in the shot of the neck plate, I think. Getting the tort pickguard to not look black is difficult, though this one is quite dark. I may try and find a lighter coloured one one of these days. Anyhoo, enjoy the pics. The album is here and I'll add more tomorrow sometime.
