Glenn - finally had a chance to fire the amp up and play the new Cutlass and the Silo Spec A/B (yes my Silo is a HSS). Preface by saying I pulled my full pedalboard out and was using a Mesa Electra-Dyne head through a 1x12 Mesa Royal Atlantic Cabinet.

The Cutlass single coils sound more traditional and glassy/clear than the Silo's do. Both are awesome but different. The bridge pickup on the Cutlass sounds a little thinner than the Silo's does and balances in volume and tone really really well with the singles. There is no jump in output going to the bridge on the Cutlass.

Both are amazing - but there is nothing quite like that roasted neck and those stainless steel frets!!!

Hope this helps

Mike, wow that's great thanx for the inputs man!!!

Nice, Mike. Congrats.

I have yet to play a roasted neck. Can you articulate the "feel" that everyone raves about? I know roasted necks are supposed to be much more stable, but curious about the feel.

I can try!! All MM necks are smooth and delightful. IMO the roasted necks take that up a few notches - they are very smooth and feel broken in.

I know I am still in that honeymoon phase, but I wanna say, that roasted Cutlass might be my very favorite player! Well done EBMM.
