It's been a while, since I've gotten a ball, but finally, i've gotten my second one. Technically used, 10 years no less, but there's actually an interesting story to this one. I was getting ready to save up to buy a new Silo Spec, and randomly while commenting on a "rare guitar" thread our Canucklehead John North from Toronto offered me a guitar I've been caught complimenting more than once. So after a long drawn out process, a deal which was brokered over the period of 5 months, and a guitar traveling from Toronto, to Los Angeles, to Incheon and finally Busan, South Korea in the span of two weeks, I finally have her!

It's the 30th MIAC Silo Special, #11 of 30 made. I have to say, it's a wonderful guitar. Sorry, I had to play it before posting, But I have to say, I needed a single coil guitar to even out my arsenal (despite the fact that my 25th can quack) and I must say, with the 25th there's very little ground I CAN'T cover.

So once again, a shout out to John North, just a spectacular person to deal with. Not only did I get a deal and opportunity on a rare guitar, but I also made a friend in the process. So I cannot say thanks enough! Knuckleheads look out, even if they're from the loft upstairs, aka Canada. :D

Mandatory pics as well! I just love the classy look of this axe! Very happy! Oh and of course, it sounds killer too! :D

Thanks guys. I forgot after 15mins of playing the guitar, I realized that the 25th's neck profile was modeled after the silo spec! The neck feels right at home. I'm not fond of single coil bridge pups (minus for country chikin pickin' stuff) but I realized that this baby is already routed for a humbucker in the middle.

But man, this beauty is 10 years old, but it has aged well, the position 4 (neck and mid pup) quack is awesome!

A Black Silo special with rose wood board in HSS would complete that Ying Yang balance going there..... After getting this silo special, I want another one!

It's really cool because the pups have a bit more honky mids, which is intentionally NOT like a strat, which I dig, a quack, but different quack!

BTW, Where is that grumpy old man? Haha

Congratulations, Steve! That is a beautiful SS and it makes the perfect complement to your 25th. Enjoy playing both of those fine guitars. :)
