Just picked this up. Exactly what I was looking for, especially the trans finish. Can't wait to gig it this weekend. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1343164738.965861.jpg

Can anyone tell me how these pickups compare to others in the Seymour Duncan line? What are they similar to?

Really been thinking of having a second pick guard wired up for my Silo to go SSS should I feel like it.

There anything like a PAF pro or A2 pro bucker that made sweet loving with a classic single coil? I'd like a set of those.

Now THAT is beautiful. Outstanding color and guitar choice LawDaddy! That trans Blue looks so rich. A pearloid pickguard would set it over the edge. :)

I'm convinced that an SSS and HH Al will someday be alongside my two MM90 ALs.

Very cool!!!!

Now don't be surprised if that's all you start playing. I'm serious. I started out strictly a double hum bucking guy. Can't stand that 60 cycle noise. Well, my two mani guitars now are an MM90 AL (thanks to the silent circuit) and an SSS AL (formerly an HH AL). The MM90s are EBMMs, but the SSS is loaded with Area '67s in the neck and middle and an Injector in the bridge. It is truly a total R&R machine! And completely silent.

Anyways, don't be shocked if joining the ALOC starts changing your perspective on guitars and pickups in general. They got to me, they can get to you!

And, FWIW, the most comfortable guitar I've ever played, bar none.

With the project I'm in (my Stax/Memphis soul band) I've been gigging my SRV strat for more vintagey tones. Hence the need for an SSS axe from EBMM. :)
