This one has been in the works for a while and it finally came together just in time for my Yellow 9 gig this Saturday. A new guitar for a new album called "Dead Man's Cigarettes."
See this thread for original post.

Peter Nogas did some artwork for the album (available in May/June) and I liked it so much that I asked him to do up a guitar. We got together and brainstormed for a few hours and then got some great working ideas. We stayed in touch throughout the process, tweaking a few things here and there, until this morning when I wound up with this:
(it may not be for everyone but it sure as heck is for me)

SPECS:
Base model John Petrucci 6-string guitar
BFR Rosewood neck
Crunch Lab & Liquifire pickups in white/black zebra
White Pearl finish &
Dead Man's Cigarettes graphics by Peter Nogas III
Translucent gold pearl on the skull and smoke
Cobalt Power Slinky strings

Can't wait to rip this thing at practice tomorrow, the guys don't know about it yet.

A big thanks to Pete Nogas for his time and effort in creating the above masterpiece.

That came out really cool! I'm not usually a fan of graphics on guitars, but that is awesome! Now was the whole body resprayed with a custom white pearl color? I do recall you posting a torture where you were stripping the body. That one also has an updated JP bridge, so I assume you got that specifically for this and pulled the rosewood neck off of one of your other ones?

It was a new Pearl Redburst JP that got the heatgun and scraper treatment. I've got more shots including the primer & spot filler (necessary from overzealous scraping) that' I'll upload once I get home.

No, the rw necked Autumn Redrise was played this morning! It's also visible in the gamechanger vid if you look closely (there are a few unique pieces in the background).

Yah.....we're going to believe your background guitars.....right. I was fooled by the rev headstock Steve Morse last time around.......not believing anything.

Soooooo.........you say you have a custom painted guitar, eh?
