Hi Everyone!
My name is Jim. I've been reading the board for years now, and occasionally comment. I have a 1997 Axis Sport HSS, and have wanted another MM guitar for years. Well, I finally took the plunge and snagged a HSHP Game Changer!!!
When I saw the 25th, I was like "this is my dream guitar, hopefully someday they'll make it in emerald green quilt!" Alas, that hasn't happened. The Game Changer comes out, and I'm blown away by what it can do. But still no colors other than black. Grr!!! Maybe someday.
But a used one comes along on Reverb.com with a price that I couldn't refuse. I took the plunge and now I'm have a guitar that can do anything! It is stunningly awesome, in amazing condition (with the exception for a scratch to the wood by the neck pickup that I have no clue how it could have happened), and it feels great in my hands.
Except unfortunately, I'm getting no sound at all, and the web app won't recognize it. I've put in fresh batteries, and made sure it wasn't on mute. Grr!!! I know, I know, I will be contacting EBMM Customer Service on Monday, and I know they are swamped with NAMM right now and will need time to decompress and get back to normal. So I will be patient!!! There was another thread on the boards of a guy selling his GC bass, which worked at the time, to someone and that person didn't get any sound. The buyer did send it to EBMM, and I'm assuming it got fixed. No mention from EBMM what the problem as they didn't say how things ended in the thread.
On top of that, I'm in NC and snowed in for the weekend and can't play with my new toy!!
Oh well, I know that things will work out in the end. Loving all the NAMM goodness being posted too!
Musically yours,
Jim
P.S. Oh, I just remembered, I should have done a NGD thread in November. I picked up a SBMM JP170D for a steal of a price. What a great guitar! I'll probably sell it this year and get the new SBMM JP157, and then install Dimarzios in it.
