Hi Everyone!

My name is Jim. I've been reading the board for years now, and occasionally comment. I have a 1997 Axis Sport HSS, and have wanted another MM guitar for years. Well, I finally took the plunge and snagged a HSHP Game Changer!!!

When I saw the 25th, I was like "this is my dream guitar, hopefully someday they'll make it in emerald green quilt!" Alas, that hasn't happened. The Game Changer comes out, and I'm blown away by what it can do. But still no colors other than black. Grr!!! Maybe someday.

But a used one comes along on Reverb.com with a price that I couldn't refuse. I took the plunge and now I'm have a guitar that can do anything! It is stunningly awesome, in amazing condition (with the exception for a scratch to the wood by the neck pickup that I have no clue how it could have happened), and it feels great in my hands.

Except unfortunately, I'm getting no sound at all, and the web app won't recognize it. I've put in fresh batteries, and made sure it wasn't on mute. Grr!!! I know, I know, I will be contacting EBMM Customer Service on Monday, and I know they are swamped with NAMM right now and will need time to decompress and get back to normal. So I will be patient!!! There was another thread on the boards of a guy selling his GC bass, which worked at the time, to someone and that person didn't get any sound. The buyer did send it to EBMM, and I'm assuming it got fixed. No mention from EBMM what the problem as they didn't say how things ended in the thread.

On top of that, I'm in NC and snowed in for the weekend and can't play with my new toy!!

Oh well, I know that things will work out in the end. Loving all the NAMM goodness being posted too!

Musically yours,
Jim

P.S. Oh, I just remembered, I should have done a NGD thread in November. I picked up a SBMM JP170D for a steal of a price. What a great guitar! I'll probably sell it this year and get the new SBMM JP157, and then install Dimarzios in it.

Try a different browser and/or a different computer. Web app no workee with chrome. Not sure about others but mine works good on iMac w/Safari.

Check tightness of input jack. Mine seems to be kind of sensitive that way.

Congrats on an amazing guitar! A real workhorse for the working musician. The black will grow on you.

Thanks for the advice! I'm running a computer using Windows XP, that might be some of the problem. I am currently in the process of building a newer, more up to date and powerful computer. The app didn't work in Chrome, but did work in Firefox for me. But it still didn't connect with the guitar.

Whether that is the computer being so old, and an outdated OS, or the guitar now working I'm not sure. However, since the guitar isn't producing sound from my amp as well, I'm leaning towards the guitar. But I'm keeping my fingers crossed that maybe its something simple that I'm missing.

I will check the input jack, as you suggested, tonight after the family goes to bed.

I had a similar issue with my GC not wanting to connect to the app. I used the supplied cable, and several other cables. The Man, A.J. Got me squared away, but it turned out to be just the cable itself… DOH!!!

Try a different cable perhaps? Maybe even reboot and make sure all your browser/plugin is up to date? Hope you get it working soon, it's an incredibly fun guitar to mess around with.

Ugh. Having to call tech support for the computer in a guitar lol...

I love the concept of the Game Changer, but I, too, am a little put off by just the one color. I was really hoping back in the day that the Majesty would have the full-featured GC. I'm sure they've got something up their sleeves :)
