Hey, u talkin to me? NY
I ask because AL's usually have split shaft pots and the Tele style knobs prefer to be used with solid post shafts.

Glenn |B)

Oh, I got you Glenn, thanks. They are split shafts and I guess that if you don't over-tighten the allen wrench screws on the dome knobs you should be OK. I really like the look of the chrome dome knobs but, I really got use to the feel of the plastic knobs on my Axis guitars. So, I'm probably going to switch back to the original plastic knobs.

All the best,
Slav

Big thanks to Slav for graciously letting me semi-hi-jack his thread with my pics. Your too cool Slav.

Now that your new AL is getting all your love. Why don’t you package up one of those Axis up here to Canada. :)

See for me, I like the knurled feeling over the plastic knobs, but again that's me. Plus I think the AL with the chrome covers looks killer with the chrome Tele style knobs, again, thats me.

New Owner of the AL HH rosewood

I too took the plunge after playing one this weekend at my local GC. I traded in my tele for it plus cash and haven't looked back. The neck on these are just amazing, though they only had the black with a pearloid pickguard, I would of preferred the Mint green. Regardless I'm happy with it and look forward to playing my upcoming gigs with it. This being my first MusicMan, I feel like I should replace all my fenders with EBMMs. Next I feel will be a JP6 or Silo.

I think I'm catching a Fever.......:p

Here she blows. I really love this guitar but I also really like the JP6 and part of me wants to go and return this one for that one while I still can at GC. Decisions decisions...... View attachment 7367

I just need to keep playing it.

And I have to agree with Robelinda on one point Tortoise should be illegal :p

If I have a chance to grab a HH AL it will be white with Perloid pickguard
