I finally pulled the trigger on a new Game Changer guitar. I've been wanting a Game Changer since they came out because I loved the concept of it - particularly the idea of being able to store my favourite pickup sounds in whichever switch position that I liked so I could access the quickly. That is a great feature!! I was holding out on buying one hoping that it would be offered in a different colour or perhaps offered as an option on an ALHH but I found a new one on sale and I couldn't resist any longer.

I have lots to learn about it and I've only really been playing with the stock sounds so far but this guitar is pretty awesome. As I'm sure a bunch of you Reflex owners already know, it has great resonance played acoustically and the feel and ergonomics are great and is well balanced. The tone is really very good. I'd say more about this but I'm still getting used to it and haven't had a chance to fully put it through its paces through both my amps. I'm really looking forward to blasting it through my /13 CJ-11 as I think it will be a great match. One thing I love about the bridge pickup is that it has good power, and a beefy tone but still cleans up well and has a great amount of articulation so it doesn't compress or smooth out the lead tones excessively.

Although I've never been a huge fan of the shape and appearance of the Reflex guitar, now that I have it and am digging playing it so much...suddenly it looks much nicer!! :)

Congrats Stu! You and I have the same tastes. Your guitar is the exact twin of mine and your basses are almost identical to mine too. Glad you got the GC. You will love it.

Thanks guys. This really is a great guitar. It's my first MM guitar (though I've had 5 MM basses to this point) and I'm really impressed. That compensated nut really does a great job of helping all of the different chord shapes stay in tune! Beautiful.

Jay....yeah...I can relate to your choices of instruments!! :) Very cool. I'm a bit jealous of your new Rosewood neck Bongo. I'm sure that will be pretty killer!

Awesome choice! I'm so curious about these but want to see how the Majesty ends up implementing the tech over time.

Congrats Stu!!! You are right - from a Reflex owner - resonance is off the charts for me and it's super comfy to play. I could play it for HOURS if I had the time. I don't want to put it down! I love the body style as it looks like an instant classic - kind of like a telecaster. The only thing my Reflex is missing is a trem. I'm not missing it too much though.. :)

Anyway - enjoy your new GC!!! More pics please!!
