went to my local gc today bc they just got a used axis and I wanted to check it out. When i called my friend the other day about it he said it was in very good condition so I wasn't expecting to much. When I got there I was very surprised, it was in unplayed condition! It is literally brand new, and for only $999. Not a monster quilt but has the striations in the wood that Im a huge fan of. Plus I had to have it because of the unique serial number...G66666 lol. Put some cash on it because I didn't want to be in the doghouse tonight(bought 3 new pieces the last 3 weeks) so Im going to pick it up next weekend. This is the only pic I snapped of it and it has an amazing birdseye neck. Their is another one Im thinking of getting at another local gc but Im holding off for the moment(dont know how long that will last lol) The red mark in the photo on the top is some sort of light artifact, its not part of the actual guitar

the other one im looking at is the nautral one at gc boston. They sent me a lot of pics of that one. it is gorgeous, only thing holding me back on the one is a hideous dent on the front by the jack. Really bad dinger. Im growing really fond of the natural tops

haha - You are on fire lately. I'd recommend a nice bunch of flowers for your girlfriend. I bought Wendy a big 'ol bouquet a couple of weeks ago to soften the blow of my PDN Axis arrival. Worked like a charm.

You really stole the devil's Axis at $999. Maybe it was such a low price due to some kind of hex or curse?

Great deal LTO! I think that was the one I saw, almost pulled the trigger. GC is really hit and miss and the hits are really worth it. The thing is almost never are they at my 'local' GC so I don't have the opportunity to try before you buy.

Congrats.
