You've been waiting... I'm not aware of anyone else that has one of these right now other than Lee from BoO. I'll let the pictures do the talking; Got some in natural light, some in "inside" environment. Very bizarre color, hard to capture. It's not really black in natural light, it's definitely more of a dark gray/blue. Very shiny, almost mirror-like as you can see from the pics reflecting everything in the background.

Sweet new Black Case. Not lizard skin like the other BFR cases, not sure what this is:

Close up on the color, reflects the camera lens perfectly:

HOLY !@#$! My GAS is rising to extremely dangerous levels! How does she play man? How's the neck? Details, details, details!

After playing it for awhile last night, I came to the conclusion that this guitar was built for me and not for JP. The neck is awesome. I didn't think the 20" radius would make that much of a difference in my playing, but it does. I can really fly on this thing. The action came super low (actually too low, strings buzzing on the fretboard) so I can play some things ridiculously fast. At one point I just started cracking up at how fast I was playing one riff, I'm not even kidding. I had more pics to add but couldn't reply to the post cause it didn't go up til this morning. Here they are in natural light:

These are finally hitting the streets...Drum City Guitar has already received two, a 6 and a 7...they still had the JPXI-7 in stock yesterday if anyone is looking. Congrats on a great guitar!

Very nice. I am jonesing for another one, and my first JP hasn't even arrived yet. A seven string might be cool. Give us a report once you put it down long enough to type something.

EPIC FAIL: You forgot pics of the box unpacking :p

Happy NGD, what a stunner.

That neck looks so slim.

Great post, and great pics, cheers!

Holy... moooly...!!!!
I was just thinking about wheather or not I should get a JP7 BFR Tobacco Burst or the JPXI7 Onyx as my next guitar. I was leaning towards the Tobacco Burst since it's rather rare these days but these pictures definitely made me start thinking again.

Mind putting up a clip on youtube? And.. review? :D Compare it with your Emerald Green BFR :)

Well I was cab-less until today when I got into Chicago so I couldn't do any clips. I was stuck playing it only through a little peavy vyper. My band is shooting a legit video at our show tomorrow, so there should be plenty of shots of it in action- As well as the Green Monster (other guitar player is going to borrow it for this show) and our bass player has a Stingray, so there will be EBMM all over the place. If you're in the Chicago area, you should definitely check it out. Probably not everyone's cup of tea, but the even page is here, and you can "like" the band too/check out the songs:

I'll do some real videos when I get home, but we've got shows all over the place the next couple days so, it'll be awhile yet. Totally stoked on this guitar thus far. Best production model to date, aside maybe from the JPX. Haven't been able to really sit down with a JPX7 and my rig yet. Hopefully some day...
