I had a bit more time to play her last night. Amazing, simply amazing. I thought nothing could get better than the JP series but I really found a home with this. I could get really analytical but Ill just say it does it all.....especially metal........
Im hugging her right now......and now........and......now....
I can confirm the neckplate does not say BFR but the price was the same if not a little more than a Luke BFR.....I called Willy D yesterday and he confirmed a few things but Im not sure if it is more than the maple top (which it does have)....
Wont have time for pics for a few days but she is identical to a Luke 3 (2012) in every way except for the flame maple top and color. Its an impressive top. It moves more than any other top I have had. I would love to know what grade it is. I suspect AA and maybe even AAA. If you look real close you can see the darker lines between the contour or bevels from the top to the side of the body almost exactly like a Petrucci BFR Cherry Burst. Its just really nice to look at it....
Its even nicer to play. Only had it a few days but so far its the nicest piece I have ever played......Cracks me up but I love the way it sounds with DT material and I can rip on it much better than the other JP's ive owned....lovin every minute of it.....
