Hi All,

I'm not a regular poster on the forum - these days I'm mainly focused on my Hamers - of which I'm the lucky owner of some really super examples!

However, I've always been a Music Man fan - and owned many Silhouettes over the years - the one I love the most is my mid 90's Trans Teal with FR.

I've been looking for the perfect Luke II for me for about four years and I finally found it and got my hands on it.

It's a 2002 in Black Sparkle with a matching headstock - just like the one that Steve Lukather used a lot of live in the early 2000s. The finish is bloody wonderful!

Anyway - blahdy-blah - here are the pictures! :D

The only things I'll probably do are swap the straplocks to Dunlop units to match the rest of my guitars and replace the bent saddles with solid units - not for any reason other than I think I'd prefer them.

I'm seeing if one of the UK Stores who carry Music Man can sort me out with a set as I'm unable to order from the MM website for UK delivery. Unless anyone has a set that they might flog to me that is!

(Now I just need to find the perfect Luke 1 for me - so hopefully I'll find that before I'm 50!)

What do you think of this thing?

Cheers all,
Ben.

Hi Ben

Congrats on a great Axe! The Black sparkle finish is awesome !!!
I really fancy the smaller sized bodies of the Luke II, Silhouette and Axis models.

Greetings from Germany

Nice! Enjoy your Luke II. I had one back when they first came out for a while and should have never got rid of it. I miss it!

Strange device you use for playing seated ;)
Ah yes, Its a Performaxe - made by a guy in Italy.

Do you have one as well? Its been the best £100 I've ever spent on any guitar playing related stuff. For practice when seated it puts the guitar at exactly the right level for playing without adding stress to your left wrist, and help with posture.

It was recommended by my teacher as a practice aid - and I have never looked back.

No, I don't use such a thing, but I always have a strap even seated.
The strap is useful in order to have the correct position, but I play also seated on a guitar stool, thus if I need to go in "full classical position", it's quite easy.

@Bennyboy-UK I buy my EBMM spares direct from Strings N Things UK. Call them and they should be able to see you right.

Also, I'm calling first dibs on this ;-) I have a black L3 HH and a black L3 HSS, plus I have an L2 itch to scratch!
