Well i have just come back from Knighton music in mid Wales and my intention was to part ex one of my balls for a new one.
But when i got there i just couldn't do it , i knew that once i gave one up i would regret doing it , initially i was disappointed that the quilt top i ordered wasn't there to greet me (showing on the S&Things site but not in stock)but there was a flame top waiting for me instead.
Anyway tried a lot of great BRF'S and standard balls when i was there but plumed for a BFR JP6 in black burst.
Can believe the difference in look and feel to the standard JP6 , i think the little extra is well worth it.

Big thanks to Steve for his patience and for the great deal

Thanks Slav.
I took my Luke and Axis but somehow convinced my self i could afford it without selling.
I kept looking at the Luke thinking "i really like that guitar" same with the Axis they all look and sound so different.I knew if i let one go i would have regreted it.
It,s nice to buy brandnew , the set up on this thing is perfect ,here's a quick pic

Also i was well impressed with the painted neck it feels really comfortable.

Hey, u talkin to me? NY
Killer!

Wow and congrats again! That's a killer BFR JP6, just beautiful! I'm glad that you held on to your Luke and Axis! They are all so different and you would have regretted trading them in for below their true value. Plus, you most likely bonded with guitars and just wanted something different. Awesome choice bro!

All the best,
Slav:)

Had a great deal on 4 hercules hangers just need to get the proper plasterboard screws tomorrow , imagine my face if the BFR came off the wall.

Congrats on a beautiful guitar, the top on that is just insane. You will feel much better when everything is paid and done and you still have all your guitars.

For the life of me though I just do not understand the reasoning in bringing a guitar in a store for trade credit as they rip the eyes out of your head. If anyone decides they have to get rid of an ax to make a purchase then just do it right and put it on ebay or CL, as that way at least you are making the total profit instead of the store under cutting you a few hundred that they will make selling your ax.

I really believe books like the Blue Book or the Vintage Guitar (I have both) guide are partly made to help stores and dealers rip the public off. They state that walking out of a store with a new guitar and though you never even open the case is like driving a car off a lot and that it can never be new again, So for example as it pertains to an guitar an artist series Strat that you paid $2,200 loses $600 the minute you leave the store and is now qualified as mint and drops to $1,600 without you even picking a string=nonsense. I seen a bunch of dealers go grab there books at the last guitar show I was at for guys who had trade ins. Funny thing is it did not pertain to there guitars.
