NGD - New Petrucci BFR Black Burst

Just picked her up yesterday and it's just amazing! Next Tuesday my JPX with roasted neck shows up, can't wait. Sold off some other guitars I just wasn't in love with anymore and grabbed these guys. Thanks Big Poppa and everyone at EBMM for making some of the best guitars in the world!

Thanks man. I moved a lot of gear to position myself to do this. I admit three Balls in a two week period might sound excessive, but I just think they are that good! Plus, I have a lot more space in my studio now! This is my first non-JPX BFR, it's a totally amazing guitar an SO worth the wait to get here.

I honestly can't answer that question, not familiar with all the finishes of past and present. Perhaps one of our more experienced forumites could lend an answer.
