I just scored a very unusual axe, not sure if I should post this here or on the 'other' side. Couldn't help myself. It's a Silhouette 6 string tenor, somewhere between a guitar and a bass, I'm not really sure tbh. I've never seen one before, didn't even know they existed.

I've always hankered after a bass but each time I try one I get confused with the tuning and fretboard shapes being so used to the skinny 6 stringers, I know I'm hopeless! Anyway, when I saw this one, which is tuned the same as a guitar but an octave lower I just had to have it. Maybe I can finally enjoy the low end experience?

Anybody else played one?

Probably just run it through the Axe-FX or I have a little Roland Bass amp somewhere.

I've never played one, but I'm happy you went for it. It sounds like it'd be fun to play lower tunings without that floppy string feeling.
