Hello All,

I managed to get my grubby little hands on a PDN Axis. I almost missed the boat on this one. Thank you, Jeff. I am thrilled with the guitar and the combination of woods used is great together.

The body is mohagany and the top is flamed maple. I was surprised by the weight of the guitar...it feels very light and well balanced. I was expecting the mohagany to be heavier.

The pau ferro fretboard is amazing to look at and to touch; it is very smooth, like ebony feels. It has a bunch of thin chocolate stripes running the length of the fretboard. I love the stripes. And, don't even get me started on how much I love roasted maple necks. They are my favorite. The stainless frets are nice, too.

What can I say about the tone? It sounds so rich. Harmonics pop off the neck with ease. I am loving it...

Awesome, I missed the boat on Keith's. I'm majorly bummed, but very happy for you. How do the jumbo, stainless frets feel compared to the others?

Thanks Guys. I love the stainless frets and how the honeyburst came out.

Roasted necks feel very fast to me. They feel like an unfinished neck that's turned dark from tons of use; like a well-worn ebmm evh neck. Seems like the roasting gives you that feeling without playing it for 20 years to get it that way.

I replaced the Volume knob with a Tone knob - thanks A.J.

Not the biggest collection of Axii, but you might have the best.
Congrats and happy NGD!

haha - thanks, I'm trying to choose wisely.

I'm building my forever collection. I sold off most of my gear and my Smokey and the Bandit 1979 Trans Am when I bought my house 7 years ago. I needed 10K to put down on the house. That's why my wife is so understanding about my gear lust.

WOW!...I just has no other word, looks fantastic, besides the unreal top the fingerboard wood is beautiful!!!

I'm in love with the pao ferro fretboard. It's my first one and it feels similar to ebony, which is my favorite. It is so beautiful to look at that I find myself watching my fingers while I am playing. I've got to remove the strings to get a better picture for you guys. ebmm knocked it out of the freakin' park with this limited run. Wow. I am so happy.

Congrats B that sure as hell is a hell of a looker and couldn't of landed in a better home. I totally agree about the roasted necks as my two guitars with them feel like a feather, and they just feel so good in your hands. I never played a guitar with a Pau Ferro fretboard and thought it would feel similar to rosewood. Nice to know it feels more like Ebony (learn something new everyday) as I will keep that in mind. Enjoy Bro -which I am sure you are.

Very cool PDN! Congrats. Ebony and pau ferro are my favourite fretboard materials. Coincedentally they are attached to a roasted neck, also my favourite. EBMM really know how to make guitar..
