Welcome back Bryan! Glad to hear you are back to playing again

Thanks, Pete. It was really nice speaking with you on the phone yesterday, too.

I picked up the Axis last night, and I am blown away. This five year old guitar does not have a single pick swirl or scratch on it. The back is pristine, too. I am really fortunate to get my hands on this bad boy. It is in mint condition.

Thanks to our forum brother, brandall10, for finding the original NGD thread: http://forums.ernieball.com/ernie-ball-music-man-guitars/54516-incoming-pdn-axis.html

Here is an original photo and, as I said, she still looks every bit as good:

Now, onto the tone. It came as no surprise to me that the tone was going to be killer. My former PDN Honeyburst sounded HUGE. Think of Neil Schon in his 80's Journey concert days. Well, this one does not disappoint. In fact, it's been so long since I played the old one that I was blown away by the somewhat unexpected three dimensional nature of the tone; you know, like when you play a chord and every note of the chord is singing out individually.

I like it so much, and it feels like home already, as any Axis would in many of our hands. So, I've decided to use it as my main guitar tomorrow night, with my black sugar Axis as backup. Hopefully, my wife will take some pictures of the band on stage so I can share them with all of you.

I played out on Saturday with the new PDN Axis.

Rockin' my Ernie Ball t-shirt. My black sugar Axis is behind me but I used the PDN all night. It sounded really great.
