Beautiful and absolutely stunning find! I love so many of the discontinued colors, I'm happy that you were able to snag one. Especially True Gold. a Gem of a color!

Nice aquisition! Looks cool in that combo...I would like to see white pearl on that instead of the plain white though. Than again I always prefer pearloid guards to plain :).

Oh, I also find it funny how all of a sudden EVERYONE loves this color since LUKE has been playing his almost exclussively hahaha.

YES! I was thinking the same. Saw some Big Al's with pearloid, they look great.

Yea, that looks nice. I think that might be a vintage white pearl guard though. Which actually might work better since it has more of a yellow tint, and will match nicely with the natural headstock, but then the white pickups might stand out a bit more.

Lovin the r wood board on that silo. Gotta call her Gold Finger!
..or Midas? Actually, I haven't named my guitars. They don't come over when I call them anyway

So how do you find the sounds on the new baby? What's your take on the tonal differences between the three?

Pfft, the only thing I'm worse at than describing sound, is playing guitar, but I'll give it a go. It sounds a bit darker than the Luke and Axis, although I believe this to be because of the .10 Elixirs on her...I use .09 Slinkys normally.

But besides that, I think it fits in very nicely between the Axis and the Luke. The Luke with the EMGS has a very compact, compressed sound (which I love) on the humbucker, and I can get a nice quack on the bridge pickup. The Axis has a very open sound with a bite, and very usuable single-coil like sounds in the split positions.

The Silo's Humbucker has a bit less output compared to the Axis, and the split positions are comparable to the Axis' (not the same though). The neck PU is smooooooth..I love it..Doesn't get muddy, even with higher gains.
