Well I did it, I decided, what the heck, I am a gigging musician now, I should have the best right? Here is my new guitar, please no drooling, it's still fresh!! Oh forgot to mention, this one is signed by the master himself, thanks Steve!

Can someone explain how I can lower the action on a fixed bridge? I'm guessing the flat head screw on the two top post however I see a tiny screw on the side, perhaps a lock?

Congrats! Such a great guitar. Sold my black Morse to fund a Y2D PDN, but someday I'll have another. Love the switching options!

Super snag...& great having SM sign it.

Question ! With a marker pen signature that is so 'precious' to the owner does it make sense to protect it somehow from fading or whatever ? Light clear lacquer coating over it or something. Just wondered cos guess over time it will fade unde light etc.
I know a lot of guitars have these signed by artists so what do you guys do if anything ??

Cheers Baz

I'm wondering if mobile phone screen protectors would do the trick? They do a great job not only on phone but on the screen of my PolyTune (which is not mounted to a pedal board and gets thrown in and out of cases and bags a lot and so is prone to scratching).

My favorite guitar - details on the signing please! Did you meet at NAMM or something?

Actually Steve came to Ottawa for a clinic, (yeah I missed it), and signed the guitar that was hanging there for sale. It has been hanging there for a while now and fate has brought us together, got a smoking deal on it as well. Used it for our gig last night, 2 hours of classic metal. The guitar in one word SONIC!

So far so good. Used it in a gig last night, hand started to cramp but I was able to overcome due to the thickness of the neck, what a sexy neck! Getting used to the switching as well...Primarily I only use the humbucker and for cleans, I simply activate pup 3 with the switch, pristine!!! Now I do have a silly question, might go in the strings category...this guitar was recently restrung with EB's 10's but which remains a mystery...these feel much different than regular Slinky's, they have this edge that allows me to grip the string, does this make sense?

Thanks guys for the wonderful comments, great to post here again, I had forgotten what a great family of Ball lovers you guys are!

Nice one Raz! Hope you bond with it.

glad you like it. the morse neck is great, i felt in love with this kind of neck the first time i picked up a Y2D.
btw, if you like the standard, you should try out a Y2D, which has more top-end with the maple top and a easier switching layout.
maybe these are cobalt strings?

Already checking 'The Bay' ;) Not sure I will try and ask the guy from the music store tomorrow. Love the neck!
