It took me half a year but I finally got it!

Saw this posted on the 'bay last weekend. I decided to put a bid on it thinking that I will eventually get outbid. Lo and behold, I WON!

The journey went something like this:

Nothing -> Frankenstein Copy -> USA Wolfgang -> Axis (Green Quilt) -> Axis (Striped). Trading up the whole way.

I put a tone knob and Schaller strap locks on it. I will eventually put the MXR knob on there and maybe the eyelet hooks to complete the look. This is definitely going to be a keeper.

Very nice, man. Great birdseye on the neck. Congrats. I saw that on Ebay last week, too. How good is the paint. Does it seem to be a professional job?

The paintjob is top notch. It is so good that you might even think it came out of the factory like that. It looks exactly like Eddie's (http://www.vintagekramer.com/Ed/guitar-ebstriped.jpg). The only difference obviously is his is an actual EVH model.

Congrats! I had a Steinberger with a similar paint job but sometimes felt weird about playing "other stuff" with it.

Definitely enjoying your old green quilt. :)

Very nice Axis ! I have a G&G case exactly like the one you have for my Silhouette Special.
