I didn't think I'd like the stealth.

I was wrong!

That guitar is bad-ass!!! Nicely done.

Sweet! How's she sound?

I'm still getting used to it. The new pickups make a HUGE difference. I'm so used to the D-Sonic 7 with the bar toward the bridge that this one sounded muddy to me at first. It really isn't, though. The lows are just much more rounded out. The mids are right there and the highs need a little boost to get a good crunchy rhythm sound. It's a real "IN YOUR FACE" kind of sound on the bridge pup.

The Liquifire 7 is the BEST 7 string neck pickup I have EVER heard. It sounds JUST LIKE the Liquifire 6 (like I hoped it would). Smooth and creamy, with just enough quack and really balanced tone.

Nothing personal, Deano. I was just making a crack about it and I think everyone else followed along with me.

I love this guitar for metal. If you don't that's totally cool, mate. :)

A few things I thought I'd mention after playing the guitar for a few hours last night.

This guitar blends SO well with my BFR. I recorded the scratch guitars for a new song to give to the other guys in my band last night and used both guitars. BFR on the one side and Stealth on the other, hard panned away from each other. Same amp & effect settings. The small differences in tone due to woods and pickups really made both guitars stand out in the mix in their own unique way. These are my new partners in crime for recording.

The stealth finish fingerprints very easily, but a quick wipe-down fixes that no problems. The jury is still out on the stealth finished neck, though. It feels different than the other finished necks. Not in a bad way, just different. In a way it's smoother. I think I'll be fine with it, I just need more time to get used to it.

The center pickup selection sounds VERY different with the CL/LF than with the DS/Custom Neck. It's not as chimey, or "stratty" sounding. I need to play around with it more to get a better comparison.

Otherwise, this guitar is total WIN.

Didn't realize it had an ebony board. Was this a custom order? I've been looking for a 7 stringer.

The Stealth models come with ebony standard now. This one was ordered for me, but it's not a "Custom" if that's what you're asking.
