aside from going with a nice whole-tone or the odd "Spanish"-Phrygian which can sound nice and crunchy at times over most "altered" chords but I'm wondering what type of altered?? a standard b5 chord? an aug? a #9 or #11???
All I know is that as soon as a theory pissing match starts... jeez guys, let's all not let ignorance rule the day.

ps. I'm a working bassist and have owned some nice coffee table basses and the bass that the artists and producers I work for love is my StingRay5 , so I'm goin' with the paycheck rather than the whine about a crap pre-amp (even though mine is usually set flat) and too short of a scale length.

pps. yes, this was my attempt to stick my nose in for Bovinehost and show support, part of my shock and not-make-much-sense campaign

Typical response from the people that brought us Shania Twain (also, Mike Myers parents are from Liverpool so he doesn't count.)

As for coffee table bass - I am sure if EBMM brought a bass out that looked like a dishwasher, you guys would talk all day about its "sleek curves!"

Your only bitter and twisted, cause you have no culture up there? (apart from giving us Joni Mitchell and Rush....mmmm, maybe I am wrong?)

Anyway, heres one for Mr Orange - a new model for those good old southern boys.
