Regulars around here will have seen the thread about the restoration of my JP6
http://www.ernieball.com/forums/music-man-guitars/45581-now-where-guitar-does-go.html
Since getting it all back together I've been tinkering here and there tweeking this and that and one thing that occurred to me was when you raise the floating trem, the claw holding the springs slackens and then returns to "rest" when the trem bar is released. I was having some tuning issues and thought that maybe the claw was not returning to the same resting state all the time as it swivelled and pivoted on the two adjusting screws .
I had a couple of Grolsch rubber bottle tops on my computer desk and placed twounder the trem claw, side by side - man what a difference and I'm now a lot happier with the tuning stability.
An easy cheap fix -try it?
Edit I'm so happy with the results I've put a few spots of superglue on them to hold them in place.
