New member here! I've been a proud owner of a 20th Anniversary Stingray 4 for about 9 years, been out of the game for the past few years. Well, I'm getting back in and just bought a bass similar to this from Bass Central:

Orange Trans Stingray 5

Here's a pic of my Stingray (I'm terrible with the digital camera) and the dusty SVT-4 Pro I play it through.

Looking forward to chatting it up with all of you, I think I am going to really like this place!

its one of those things that ive randomly remembered for the last 15 years :)

how do you like the sound of the Ray thru the SVT4? I run a SVT Classic myself thru an Aguillar 4x10. Ive "borrowed" an SVT 4 before and remember being pretty impressed with the tone my Ray got thru that too. I think Ampeg's like EB basses :)

It sounds great, I can really punch through with it and the great Stingray sound (I play fingerstyle and sometimes with a pick). I haven't had too much of a chance to really open it up at a show but hopefully that will end soon.

I also have an SWR Super Redhead that sounds great but it doesn't get loud enough for playing gigs.

Welcome aboard! Nice equipment you gots there.

Which cab is that?

I use Ampeg Classics, too - a 4-10 and a 1-15. Nothing like a Musicman bass through Ampeg speakers!

Welcome to the board. That is one fine looking bass you have there. We all know they all sound good if they have EB one them.

I too do Ampeg cabs.

I am going to post this then look at the pic some more that is one heck of a good looking bass you have there.

+ 1 for the welcome.

I dream about ampeg amps and cabs almost every night, but the cash is missing(also I think an SVT 4 is more than I need).

I have the same setup! That's a 410HE in the pic, I have the 1-15 equiv somewhere around here. Nice and loud!

That's a beauty, Mr. O!

Love the matching headstock with the rosewood board. :)

Thanks! It's my first five and my second Ray. I can't put it down!

Yeah it does! I should've taken some pictures in better light. I will soon!

The back of my Stingray 4 is trans red, much darker.
