It's about time - we've been doing private events the past two years, but in two weeks Phil 'n the Void is playing our first public gig!
My township (Hardyston, NJ, 07419) sponsors a "Concerts in the Park" series in July. They hire a band to play each Saturday night in July - the bands each have a varied style and appeal. These events are free and open to anyone.
This year there are four bands - a 50's sock-hop band, a country band, a swing band and a good ol' rock-n-roll summer-fun band (that's us!).
It's a family-oriented, kids of all ages fun time. I'm told that 100 people is a good turn-out based upon their past experiences. We're planning on 200+ for our show based upon our-own promotion and word of mouth - we're looking to own this event this year!
Here's the link to our flyer with all the details, including maps and the MapQuest destination address:
Phil 'n the Void 7/21 Concert in the Park!
Knuckleheads welcomed - and encouraged - to check us out! Bring the wife (or husband, or significant other) and the kids and enjoy an evening in the park.
