I like my Reverend and I think they were a great value guitar. Small company, American made with the serial # written on the headstock by the owner in permanent marker, lightweight with a funky/retro design. Nice sound.

I don't know what the new ones are like now that they have moved production overseas and lowered their price point. But if MM wasn't around I'd look for some older US models.

pics?

I think Fender's lack of consistancy is what bags them. I had to go through lots of them until I found my American Deluxe V-neck. That's my go-to guitar next to my MM Petrucci. The quality and sound from it is incredible.
Other than that, I really like the feel of the Ibanez Satriani and the Charvel San Dimas necks.
I have a PRS, but it spends a lot of time in it's case these days.

Very proud indeed !!!

The specs :
Body & neck : mahogany
Fretboard : ebony
Neck : 24 frets (25"1/2 length), Schaller locking tuners
Pickups : Di Marzio Tone Zone (bridge), Di Marzio Air Norton (neck)

I am very proud of the neck. I spent hours giving it the perfect shape for my hand.
I like also the look of the neck : ebony, without dots, no inscription on the headstock. A bit like the neck of a classical guitar. Beautiful in its simplicity.

Building a guitar is a great experience. But it is time consuming and tiring. Fortunately, for the lazy ones, we have Music Man :)

I'd be playing ESP-

I have an eclipse that has not seen daylight in about a year-
I bought boutique pick-ups and worked with the maker to get what i wanted and installed tone pros bridge and stop bar... but it's been played live once since then

I woudl also play my 1980's ESP Custom Shop Start
or my 1957 Les Paul Junior.

and if i didn't have anything else available i'd consider playing the drums... but is that really an instrument?

Leo's original idea was and still is one of the best out there. This one has a 52 bridge with brass comp saddles, 72 control plate and neck F-plate, 52 knobs, American series tuners, CTS pots, no-load tone pot, Seymour Duncan HTL-1b (48 Broadcaster) and HTR-1 pups, 52 string tree, American parchment pickguard, full copper shielding of cavities and under pickguard w/central grounding point, Dunlop strap locks.

My Terry McInturff Taurus Standard w/ Wolfetone pickups. Ever since my JP6 entered my life a few months back, that poor guitar just doesn't get played at all. It's funny that G&L is mentioned a couple of times, I actually got my JP6 because I wasn't clicking with my G&L S-500.

Hamer, have to have choices. They make guitars that are totally opposite of EBMM and have more of the classic Gibby tone. Nothing they make currently even resembles a EBMM so I hope I'm not a EBMM traitor for digging them both.
