IVE CONVERTED SO MANY OF MY FRIENDS AND OTHERS TO EBMM AND ALL I HAVE TO DO IS LET THEM PLAY MY GUITARS!

I BELIEVE IF EBMM WERE IN THE SHOPS OVER HERE PEOPLE WOULD JUST LOVE THEM !
SO WHY ARENT THEY??

P.S I AM OBSESSED WITH THESE GUITARS AND COMPLETELY BIAS

Yep its abysmal alright, most of the shops have never even heard of EBMM. I just dont even bother to go out to shops, i just leave very annoyed at the attitudes. But then I go home and play my balls and feel comforted that the guitars i play are better than anything in any shop in the entire country. Then I call Colin and have a whinge!!! If it werent for Colin we would be screwed, there isnt a single shop in my whole state who even knows how to order a new EBMM for me, occasionally a shop comes along but they seem to only carry EBMM for a short time and then move on to a different brand, which is most annoying!

I guess we have to resign ourselves to the fact that EB do not produce the kind of volume to keep guitar shops worldwide stocked with Balls.

We have a similar problem here in the UK.

*runs and hides* And what a beauty she is!

I'll be quiet now, suffice to say its still sad to walk into a supposed high end guitar shop and see a wall of Squiers. Sure I may be dreaming but it sure would be nice to find a shop with 2 balls one day in Aussie land. I just love them so much!

You have got Colin so all is good I would think;)

Even in America you dont find that many at once, have not seen an AL in over 2 years in a store and never a Silo Special.

Like I said Colin = good thing for Aussie world, just like Pete and Nick D and Jeffery B. for USA:)

Well, when you flood the market with something, that particular something loses value - on multiple levels.

Our instruments are considered, to nobody's surprise, to be boutique pieces, and our supply generally meets the demand.

MM owners have a piece of highly functional art -- they have not only purchased a phenomenal instrument, they have purchased a bit of prestige. Sometimes, blood, sweat and tears are expended in the acquisition of a Ball. But that's the price one pays to play the best - and you know it's worth it.

I must now use the restroom.

Farewell.

So true man

Thats why idiots like me travel the world looking for them. There are only a few there and there mostly trash.

Only one or two shops have them, Melbourne and Brisbane, so if your from Sydney like me good luck.

actually there is a few. Most of them don't stock any though, and that's the bit that really grinds me. Having to order a guitar you've never seen or played is daunting.

Eastgate Music in Kew (?) are dealers and sometimes have the odd second hand hanging on the wall, but can order in. However, I was totally dismayed by their response to a trade-in offer that I left disgruntled.

I then contacted DAVIS MUSIC in Footscray. Over the phone and sending photo's via email, Pete offered me an awesome trade-in on a Gretsch Duo Jet and ordered me a Silhouette Special (i ordered one that happened to be in stock at the aussie distributor and just had to live with the fact it wasn't exactly the colour i wanted). He did all this without any money changing hands, and the price he gave me as a trade-in exceeded my expectations and was $1500 greater than Eastgate's offer.

I can't rave about his service enough. I live in Frankston, and took the 1.5 hour drive to Footscray to do the swap, and it was worth it. He was a really nice guy and I was there for a good hour chatting.

He has some music man stuff in stock, but generally only one or two guitars.

I agree with everyone though - it really sucks there is literally no instruments in the country to try out before you buy. I'm interested in getting a LUKE and I contacted the warehouse, they have ONE in stock, with no piezo or matching headstock. That's just pathetic.

Davis are good, however I contacted them over a BFR Luke, went all the way there, they had a normal black Luke, not impressed. They had no idea what a BFR was. All the 2nd hand balls at Eastgate are mine!

haha ! oops! yeah that sucks.

i'd like a BFR but i just can't justify the price difference, so i think i'll get a standard Luke.. and i'm thinking 'luke blue' for the colour too.
