Yep colin rocks

Colin is the balls when it comes to balls, I just ordered a fully loaded JP6 in mystic dream from him, i think he's the only person in australia worthy to get balls from. He also charges the best too!

The shop in Frankston where I get my guitars setup is an authorised EBMM dealer. (PS They *do* know what a BFR is...which is rare for a dealer around here!) When they were working on my Luke recently, they commented that they'd love to stock one or two EBMMs, but just "can't get them"...something to do with the distributor? I don't know what the deal is, but they sounded pretty frustrated.

I understand and appreciate the low-volume-high-quality thing...I'm all for it, and it's one thing that attracted me to EBMMs. But it sure would be nice to have at least one local shop where I could go and try out the different models, feel the difference in the neck profiles, hear the differences in the various pickups, and see what the colours look like in real-life.

Brilliant Idea: Maybe the distributor could set up a show room in Melbourne (The EBMM capital of Australia ;)) where they displayed a couple of each model of EBMM, with a good representation of the pickup, bridge and pickguard options, "swatches" of the body colours, and a list of authorised dealers for order placement.

(No...Wait. I think that's been done. ...it's Rob's house!!!) :D

In terms of ordering...It's a good thing we have Colin!! He made my BFR possible!!

(PS: Colin, I'm still saving for my next Luke...problem is, she-who-is-14-and-must-be-obeyed expects me to buy her a 7-piece drum kit, a trumpet, a Luke BFR, a Sterling bass, and a Y2D first. Sigh. And I have two other daughters with growing musical interests. I think I need another 4 or 5 full-time jobs!)

Heck I live right smack dab in the middle of the US and they aren't any more available here in our shops. Never have walked into the store and see a wall o balls without driving a good distance to it. Doesn't phase me though. I just decide what I want and order it or shop it online. I know the quality will be there. If the guitar shows up and I can't bond with it, I KNOW I can sell it. No worries.

don't forget guys these are boutique instruments. I don't see many Ferrari and porches available to purchase. I understand your frustration and your passion that's why I became a dealer. Trust me Pat and Carole at CMC are very devoted to these guitars just as we are, they've worked with me tirelessly and have tolerated my passion almost to breaking point at times. I thank them for putting up with me and trust me, I have goals in place to stock more myself. These things take time.

BTW I have stock on its way too.

Here's a list of what's coming in soon for stock:

White Silo SSS with pearloid guard
BFR Luke tobacco burst quilt top
Steve Morse in blueburst
2008 LE Silo
plus what's on the website already

Thanks for all the kind words and support.

^^^ Colin that was exactly what I meant. Even in the US the stock at brick and mortar stores is slim pickens(there are exceptions, mostly in the larger metropolitan areas) best time/place to try them out is usually at a clinic.

BTW there are plenty of porches around my neighborhood almost everyone has one. Porsches on the other hand... :p

A standard Luke is just as good.....;)

Try telling that to a 14-year old!!!! Her wish list is longer than mine!

BTW, I've seen the BFR Luke coming and it's probably going straight under my bed anyway, it's flawless

Thanks for the tip off...now we know where we can find it! :D

(If you snag it for yourself, it will be a very nice catch!)

EBMM guitars are pretty hard to find here in Australia, but as some of you have said there's Davis Music, I know the guys there pretty well, and are pretty helpful, and have a couple of EBMM in stock, from memory a black Luke, a 20th an. Silo, an Axis, they had a Petrucci, but as they have said, those models and just there to try, if they want something specific they'll order it.

But if you want a great price, great service, get your guitars from Colin, but l do realize not everyone are like us crazy bunch of knuckleheads and have played every model of MM guitars and just order our guitars without seeing them first.

Hell it could be worse, you could buy a guitar from Billy Hydes. ;-)

Scott.
