No more Trans Finishes?!?!?!?

Fellas,
I was just at my local guitar shop today thinking about getting a new SR5, When we started talking colors, the guy that was working told me that they just got a notice that Trans finishes were discontinued.... is there truth to this?!?!?
I hope not...

Off topic, why do they call Rhode Island an island? Never understood why it was called one. It's close to a couple but isn't one in and of itself.
