After his arrest, Conard allegedly said: "This isn't something I normally do. I just have a respect for fine musical instruments."

The man does have some morals.

He must have great stories on how he acquired his collection.
This one I ripped off the stage when some band was taking a break. This one i stole from a car. And THIS one i actually pried out from under the fingers of a dead guy before we...

And if this guy is suspended...what the hell does it take to fire someone from that job??

How low can a person go? Well now it's been measured. Lower than 6 feet. I must defend him for a moment. He had "Guitar on the Brain" Knowingly after the last nail was hammered, that no one would be looking for the guitar. Still stealing from one whom has passed is about as low as you can go. I'm happy the Tele was reunited with it's owner.

That happened very close to where I live.

On a related note, I hope my kids care enough about my guitars to keep them, or get them to somebody (living, of course) who will appreciate them.

Though it's not right to steal, what a waste of a guitar.

Hmmmm...would it be too morbid to start a thread called 'What guitar Instructions have you left your family in the event of your demise?" Oddly enough, I'd actually like to know what people have said.
