Question No Toggle Switch...default = Series or Parallel?

Hey,

I'm trying to trade my SR5 for an SR4. One guy has come forward but his does not feature a toggle switch. I assume the pickup is set to series by default. Is this definately the case, or is there a chance it could be set to parallel (yuck!).

The two coils in a SR4 pickup are wired in parallel.

And Stingrays have never had a series/single coil/parallel switch.

Yup the SR4 is in parallel and has never had a toggle switch.

The Sterling sports the 3 way toggle that functions like the sr5

yes... a Sterling should be closer to the SR5 tone than a Stringray 4
