A while ago I had to go digging through my old back issues of various VH interviews and cover stories to find a picture of an EVH model that I've only seen Ed with so I'm not certain if it went into production. Anyway I finally found it in the Guitar World tribute to Ed and on the inside of the back cover - he's sitting on a Chevy with the coolest looking fixed bridge EVH I've ever seen, It wasn't the usual MMan fixed bridge, but it looked more like a tune-o-matic.....

Anyone seen this - did it ever get produced or was it a strict one off for Ed?

If it's the one I'm thinking of, its a LP Jr. wrap around type of bridge. It is pretty cool lookin'.

Dude, scan it and post it!!!

Arrrgh - no doubt my wife has 'tidied' it by now (basic translation - it could be anywhere as long as out of sight).

I'll try to dig it out again and get it scanned..........

That's the one! Thanks for posting!

No word on what this model was? I guess a one off for Ed - but sure would have been great if the EVH's were ever produced looking like this....

I remember that picture . . . in Guitar for the Practicing Mucisian right around the release of the Carnal Knowledge album. Those were the days . . .

Good find!

i am just guessing here and bp can correct me. i would say that was probable a proto when they where trying to decide what type of fixed bridge to use. like i said i could be very wrong.
