I've been lurking around here for a while and finally decided to register.

I've been interested in EBMM guitars for a few years, and actually thought my first might be a Steve Morse, but recently I've been wanting a guitar to play some heavier stuff and a trem - without all of the Floyd hassles - so I started researching the JP6. Today I got lucky, decent price and excellent condition Pearl Red Burst with Piezo and dots but I have to wait until June 13th until it passes the "it's not stolen test". Hopefully all will go well and I'll have it by the 19th of June.

I'll keep playing my Strat and LP until it shows up. The wait is going to stink!

Welcome to the forums.

Congrats on the JP. Great first BALL. And cool color, too. Please explain "pass the it's not stolen test.":D I'm guessing you found the guitar in a pawn shop?

You'll love that guitar. Congrats! I'm sure you'll find this is only your first of more EBMM purchases to come - It happened to me after I got mine!

It happens to all of us. The quality, tone, feel, and looks are all top notch! Congrats on a killer guitar. It will be worth the wait. Might as well go ahead and figure out how much you want to try to get out of your Fender and Gibson. You won't be needing those after June 19th. They will just look like $$ for another ball after you play the JP for 5 minutes... :D

Oh - Congrats and Welcome! This place will help pass the time....

Most GC's have the same policy, the amount of time for the wait is state law dependent. It's usually a miniumum of 15 days. This GC has a wait of 30 days. So now I wait. I'm not worried though because the Mgr knows the family that brought it in.

I still tried to haggle a bit, no workie on the price. But they agreed to no shipping charges.

Thanks MM.

Never say never!:D The Strat and LP will stay for a while. I'm selling my other Gibby to cover this one. (ES-137 Custom). I just don't play it enough anymore and it deserves a good home.

All I have to say are two things:

1. Congrats on your Ball!

2. Be careful. These guitars have the tendency to make you want to buy them, no matter what. Once you go Music Man, you don't go back.

Cheers!

+1! Shall we place bets to see how long the F3nd3r and G18s0n last? :p
