I'm looking to buy this Music Man Sterling for $250, I'm wondering what I should check for to make sure it's in good condition to play.

Does this used Music Man Sterling look legit to you guys? Or is it a knockoff / have any issues?

Should I take it to a guitar/bass shop and pay for them to tune it up and check it first? Or is that not really necessary?

Here's some pics:

That looks 100% legit (and very nice!) for a Sterling by Music Man bass. Looks to be in great shape, and the price is right. Do you know who the seller is? The photos are good quality which suggests the seller knows what they are doing. A setup is never a bad idea but may not be necessary. Ask the seller about it.
