Don't mean to take anything away from those videos because they sound amazing, but the MM90s REALLY sounds stellar with hard rock. VERY punchy when used with tons of distortion.
In other words, you don't necessarily have to equate the pickups with 'twang' music. They sound great for hard hitting punky Police type stuff.

Also great for U2 Edge "bell-like" kinda stuff. Just played some of that at this morning's service.

The ASS MM90 is really a great guitar. The silent circuit works perfectly thus you can play with high gain (and of course the clean sound is delicious ...).
