Holy smokes! Bro is breaking off the JP!

And, he's actually not that bad, at that... :p

Was trying to record the performance, but the RealAudio stream puked on me a few moments ago...I might be able to salvage it.

Yeah, the boy can play...listening to a little Satriani right now. :)

OK, so I saw norm's performance and lived. :p

Hats off to ya bro...you did mighty well, though I did see a sh*t eating grin on ya from time to time, possibly due to a goof up? Ah, just shows us that the rocket scientist is human. ;)

I recorded the perf. via audio, and there is a gap from when the stream puked on me...I'll have to edit it out...I also took some snaps of the feed as I was watching it. Gonna try to get it all together tonight, but if not, should have it up tomorrow nite.

Good job again norm-ie! :)

Just visited this thread for the first time in a while.

Nice of Darrell to document Norm's playing and to see that Norm gets the pics and audio.

Norm intended to do the same thing for me when he snapped a bunch of shots of me (with my band) and at a contest we played for guitar center. He said he'd put them on a disc and send them to me. I think the contest was March 26th. So far, I got bupkis.

But he has been busy self promoting so I should probably cut him some slack;-)

I should point out that I went and had a t-shirt MADE for Norm that said NORM WORLD TOUR '04 and gave the dates of his guitar center performances in az & ca. I had this done on a cool ERNIE BALL shirt before I even met him. Cost me $30.

I didn't expect anything in return. But when he offered to send me the pictures I have to admit I was looking forward to them.

Now I'm just bummed:(

He's a fine guitarist and I enjoy his playing. Can't remember ever seeing anyone else play steve morse songs, so it was a real treat seeing him pull that off back in March at my studio through my rig (using his bd silo).

I play out rarely so the pics had special meaning for me...or would have.

Yes racing fans, I dropped the ball on this one. I did promise Keith I would do that and I didn't. So I went ahead and burned the CD with the pictures, emailed Keith and got his snail mail address, spent a little time putting some other stuff together and it's all ready to go into Tuesday's mail.

Keith is a fantastic person and an awesome picker. The Morse influence and Rhoads teachings really show in his playing. His attitude towards performing, communicating with others and life in general is an example to follow. (Even if he is a big anti smoking nazi (fascist?))

Keith, I think your comments were called for because that's what it took to get me off my fanny and keep my word. My trip to California was an event I will cherish for the rest of my life. Your kindness was the major factor for making that happen. You help me to be a better person. For all of these things I thank and appreciate you.

This is the link for Saturday's performance.

As far as the rebroadcast mentioned, I will follow up with this stream at the time listed, and will have the recording stuff at the ready; if it's there, it's recorded. :)

I'm also going to try to lower the bitrate on those mp3's for space purposes; can't hurt the sound quality too much more! But no worries, I can do that in the background.

Enjoy!

All of the songs that I wrote and RnRHC, I played and recorded all of the backing tracks myself. When I recorded my CD (email me for more information on this) I just erased the cool lead parts for me to play during performances. For the Guitar Center Pieces, they provided the backing tracks. I spent to much time composing those to just shelve them. Vista Grande (Steve Morse) is actually a Midi file that I found from a link on Steve's sight. Take it off the top (Morse/Dregs) came from Guitar Techniques Magazine. Surfing (Satriani) I found by doing an internet search. I will link these later. (Hopefully I'll do that faster than I mail pictures on a CD.) All of the Morse and Satch stuff was learned from tab. I love those songs and find it challenging to learn them. I have so much Morse tab I will never be board.

Ooh! the show starts in 30 minuets!

Makes me feel good that I forgot about tonight, then... :D

norm (and all): have updated the website to reflect the track listing of the songs; norm, if you could just take a gander at the page and make sure that all is right title-wise, we'll go from there.

Glad I could help ya out buddy; I'll leave it all up there until this time next week, so everyone can give a listen, and you have time to archive it for yourself.

(I could mail you a CD, but only after you send Keith's out! ;) Just joshin' ya, bro...I'm bad with that sometimes as well, so I know what it's about.)

Rock on, y'all... :)
