....today. We have rehearsal tonight and I am taking an old Jazz clone I made. Leaving the Bongos at home because the bass has to sit in the car all day and it is going to be hot.

Did not want to subject my precious Bongos to extreme car heat. The clone - so what!

That is all.

Although, you are going to miss that sweet sweet tone later on.

I know what you mean. I have a $50 squire I use for situations like that and a sterling could be a good relacement as soon as I see some used ones for sale.

I suppose I could get a well-loved Bongo for times like this - but I don't foresee this happening too often. The clone's condition after a day in the car will tell me if I would subject any EBMM bass to such treatment!

Why not just take it into work with you? Nothing better than a Bongo sitting behind the desk for all to peer at. JOSH

You work behind a desk. Bummer! I hope you have a window!

I wouldn't worry.

My basses were subjected to extremes of temperature on a 10 week voyage from the UK to Australia. The beeswax mouthpiece of a didjeridoo I had, melted on that trip. The EBMM basses were absolutely fine. Just needed a tweak of the trussrod.

I did - but then I went to play golf before rehearsal - thus the sitting in the car most of the day.

Anyway - the clone made it through the day and sounded ok at practice - but my drummer said - man that thing sounds nasally - it sure doesn't have the tone of your Bongos!!! Did we really expect anything else?
