I'll admit I've been following this thread to see if there was something about the BFR designation that I didn't know about. For example, I didn't even realize the 12th inlay was no more until I got my latest BFR recently (sorry about posting yet another thread on that btw :p ).

But let me tell you, it doesn't matter to me anymore. I thought it mattered a few weeks ago to have that BFR designation to display to the world, but when I held my newest BFR I could just feel the uniqueness. A true work of art. Like someone else had mentioned these will be most likely be my case queens reserved for studio work and promotional shots. A timeless classic.

So what have I learned after all of this? My salivary glands are in tip top shape thanks to the thought of a BFR Majesty with potentially new custom color/wood options!

This. This is all I've gained from all this :)

Sterling will get all my money as soon as a quilt top Majesty 7-banger pops onto the market. If SBMM makes a Majesty (or calls it a "Royalty" or something clever) then I'm on board for one of those too!

OK you didnt piss me off....you still havent but you are a little self absorbed on this...

SO let me explain it one more time....this forum started out with no rules...NONE....then members ripped off other members on transactions.....so there were rules there....then people would dive in this pool and start spewing their religion....so lets keep it on guitars and keep the religion out....then politics...then each time we would get a female member the innuendos and tacky behavior would start....thats why women dont stick around...all of these rules are because of ass hats....Start a new forum abd take a minute to read the groundrules....dont get angy when I edit something that is pretty clear and obvious

You came on with accusations about gimmickry and cheap marketing tactics I explained it to you twice it wasnt enough...maybe if you considered the responses and maybe said "Hmmmm I just learned something from a gut who has devoted his entire life to this....

You didnt read the rules and then come back with, "I guess inquiries are met with fanaticism and speculation and staunch defenses rather than delineated and rational explanations." That is just so typical of a guy who didnt get everyone agreeing with him. GO back and read my responses I tried to explain it to you and no matter what I said it wasnt what you wanted to hear.

It's alright, Big Poppa, I'll keep funneling my paychecks your way. I may not understand your marketing or your defense of the same and rude treatment of customers in your forums(I know this will get edited by you, but at least read by you, and heck, I may even be banned) but I will continue to buy your guitars! You da man, BP! and nothing yet has convinced me otherwise that BFR means little more than a fancy top wood when in the title- sorry, but you may have been doing this your whole life but I've been observing the guitar industry and have been a target of marketing for the last 31 years. I definitely respect your experience, but to essentially call mine worthless and "self-absorbed" is a bit presumptuous and again, rude, considering I've spent nearly $8k on your products in the last year. I'm not suggesting you pander to me because I'm a customer, but being condescending never wins any friends. *sigh* regardless, BFR or not, you do make the best guitars on the market so even if you ban me I'm gonna keep buying your guitars, so I suppose if I were you I wouldn't give an F how I presented myself on my forums.

No hard feelings, man. Cheers!

I don't edit these things...the problem is that I treat people just how I do in real life...nice friendly people get that same response. I answered your critiques and directions directly. If you got a rude response its because you were rude to begin with. Thats how it goes. Now youve said you peace....if you want to talk about guitars stick around...If you want to continue to talk about marketing and beat your critiques into the ground then you will get ignored.

The history of the BFR and from day one is here...you can read about it and also brush up on the rules while you are at it.
