Have been lurking for a while, first post. Just ordered an AL MM90 trans orange/maple neck/matching headstock!! Now all I have to do is wait. This will be my first good guitar as I decided at the age of 40 to try and learn how to play!!(now 43). Have been playing my daughters Squire Strat(yuck!!) Has anyone tried the AL with the new Mesa Express amps? That may be my next purchase.

Welcome to the forums (officially)!

It's never too late to start playing! Once you play a guitar as nice as a MM, the addiction will start. Just a warning..................... :D

That`s not the hard part........the hard part is wanting one so bad and there`s nothing you can do about it because you don`t have the money for it and,ect...........:(

Welcome, oldmike!

AL with MM90's is an amazing guitar! I'm sorry I haven't played one thorugh a Mesa, though. I imagine with two such quality pieces of gear, it would be hard to go wrong!

Ordering an AL with 90's as your first good guitar - that's a real fine place to start

Awesome!
Welcome!
That sounds like it going to be a killer AL! That's my next EBMM conquest!

Don't worry. The wait will go by fast. Especially if you hang out here for fun!
I know, because I've waited longer than anybody!!!!!!

I haven't tried the express amps yet, but as soon as my local

with a mesa nomad 45 and its KILLER!!!

You won't go wrong with getting an AL!

I played an AL SSS through a 5:50 express last weekend, its a good sounding amp! The cleans are killer with an AL... wasnt much of a fan of the AL + modern overdrive from the 5:50...but the cleans are amazing... if you're looking for a cheaper amp, I would look into either Line6, who offer great versatilitiy with it's modelling, or a Tiny Terror....which judging by the sound, isn't tiny at all...

Welcome to the family!

Welcome Oldmike, Al M90 owner here. I play it through a Mesa Roadster. It sounds sweet. I think you'll enjoy that express................

I thought about Tiny terror, think I might want 2-channel ??? How about Orange Rocker 30 that is another on my list. As I will have to probably get the amp at Long & McQuade(monthly payments), Orange & Mesa are 2 brands they stock.

Orange amps are great amps... they produce some sweet brit-rock sounds... I think they're generally a little more expensive... I've never played the 30, I've played the ROckerverb though..its one mean sounding amp..

Which Long&Mcquade do you plan to buy from? The one near my house doesn't carry any M/B...
