Nice work Darren! Looks like a great rig.

On the phase cancellation issue: not all parallel loops are created equal. It very much depends on your amp as to whether you're going to have problems. I've had zero on mine. I think you'll be pretty safe with the minimix as well.

A "kill dry" does stop any phase-delayed dry signal from getting mixed with the amp's own dry signal path.

The TC G-Major (and G-Major II) have a "kill dry" that many people use successfully with Mesa amps that have parallel effects loops.

Yes. I guess I should have been more clear about what I meant. You're right.

At first i was hesitant about the EB volume pedals... the string-and-spring setup just struck me as a little fragile. But after trying these pedals, i think it works extremely well... much smoother than any rack-and-pinion type wah or volume pedal. I may pick up another to modify into a magnetic/piezo blend pedal.

These are REALLY nice pedals.

Great setup!

Great setup! I just got a g system and I'd like to model most of my setup after yours!
1) did you buy the board that you mounted the G system onto pre-made or made it yourself. if so, what would i need to make it?

2) i'm new to midi, so do you mind telling me how to connect my ernie ball vp jr as an expression pedal?

3) what brand of cables do you use?

thanks!

if you're thinking of connecting it using the recommended 4 cable set up, I got one made up by these guys. Cadence Cable Systems - Calculator - Analogue and Digital Audio Cables

Colin...If I can manage it I'm sure you can, it's actually fairly logical to use. I've never dug too deep with mine,( I am useless when it comes to being technical) but for pure functionality and great quality effects its the Mutts Nuts !! I've finally managed to get my Nova Drive integrated into it too

Great to see another Blackstar user,i got the series one 200 head and cab a few months ago and its the bees knees, would i be able to control the 4 channels on the amp via the G system?

cheers,

Must admit I haven't used it to switch channels although it definately can be done. (I think you may need some sort of amp 'gizmo' for it to do 4 channels though) Recently I've just used the clean on the Lonestar, with the Zendrive and the Blackstar for OD's and distortions. Blackstar is disconnected at the moment until I get another couple of patch leads to run it into one of the loops. I've disabled the boost on the G Sys and use the boost on the amp footswitch. The channel switch and boost all run through the multicore to the amp. It's connected by the 4 wire method whereby the effects go through the FX loop and the OD's and distortion go into the front end. Even my microphone cable runs through it. One less cable to have running across the stage. The Novadrive is superb, had it a while but only just managed to get the special midi splitter cable. It's completely programmable yet analogue and integrates fully with the G Sys. That said and done, the whole thing weighs a bloody ton !!

There is an excellent and very informative forum if you haven't already been there. TC Electronic Forum

Pedal feet/screws

Does anyone know the size of the threaded screws Supplied with the bottom of the JR pedal and holding the feet in? I have one that was sold without feet.

Cheers

Darren...Very clean and nice setup you got there! congrats.
I notice you are using 25K pedals for expression instead of the 250K version.
I´ve got the 250K version and intended to use it as my expression pedal on The TC Nova System...Is the 25K more suitable pedal for expression?
